DELIGHTED TO BE HAVING ONE LAST HURRAH BEFORE OUR ONE LAST HURRAH ! IT'S TONIGHT!
This Friday (24th) we are delighted to be welcoming Paul Joseph and Scratchband (or parts of it ) who will be playing for us for the evening.
We'll also be be celebrating beer as we move into Oktoberfest and we will be offering our cask beers and ciders at £3 and our craft lager at £4 FOR TONIGHT ONLY. We also have a special craft flight available - 4 amazing craft cans (a Helles, a Sour, an Imperial Stout and an IPA) for £10.
It goes of course without saying that we will have our amazing pizza available.
SUMMERS LAST HURRAH!
We are planning one last bash to say cheerio to the summer and our outside pizza festival bar which we will be wrapping up for the winter. (We'll still be open through the Autumn for collections, deliveries and postal and will also be keeping the Mortons Spar Tattenhall fully stocked)

Welcome to Woodfired Wednesday!
We hope everyone is all okay with the gas situation. Our oven 'cooks on wood!' so its business as usual for us and we are looking forward to 'Woodfired Wednesday' where you can enjoy 2 regular pizzas along with a salad of your choice and a portion of olives for £20.
On woodfired Wednesday we also have Piccolo Pizzaiolo (little pizza chef!) where for £5, children can assemble their own mini pizza which we will pop into Koda our woodfired oven and bring back for them to enjoy along with a certificate to mark their achievement. Great learning, great fun.

Craft Lager this week is Loch & Load Glen Affric Brewery and our cask is currently Oracle, Salopian Brewery
HOT PIZZA DELIVERY
Our apologies for any inconvenience caused, but out Hot Pizza Delivery service will not be available for the next two weeks. It will resume again week commencing 13th September.
THE RESTORATION CONTINUES .....
As those of you that pass by on a daily basis can see work is progressing on the restoration of this lovely old pub. Beams have been replaced, the building is being under pinned and foundations are being dug for the extension at the back. All exciting stuff.
The concrete is now in and set for all the floors downstairs. The new toilets have been built and the framework for the extension is going in during the next couple of weeks

We've changed our Home Kits
The eagle eyed amongst you may have noticed that we have changed our @ home kits that are on sale in Mortons Spar Tattenhall
We have stretched and par baked our classic pizza dough and topped the pizza for you to simply bake off at home for 7 to 10 minutes and enjoy.
We have our Margherita (£6.50), Pepperoni (£8), Goats Cheese, Fig & Honey (£9) and Mushroom (£8) all available (while stocks last) #shoplocal
PIZZAFEST - A HUGE THANKYOU
Wow, what a weekend that was!
We are just about recovered from PizzaFest and would just like to give our thanks to all involved. It was a really special day and we hope those that came along enjoyed it and we would like to thank you all for your support.
Special thanks to all the producers and craft makers, all superb, and of course to the artists who entertained us throughout the day - thank you Scratchband, Nicky Phillips VillageBeatz and Steve Thomas - all absolutely amazing. Also to Brian and Erica for fabulous demonstrations. Thankyou also to Fiona and our fabulous team at FiredUp. Their boundless support, hard work and enthusiasm helped make it a really special day for all involved. We are so lucky and happy to have such an amazing team.
I am also delighted to advise that we raised £315 for CureLeukemia! not quite the £500 we had set as a target but a great contribution all the same - maybe VillageBeatz we 'll need one more hurrah before the summer ends to make up the difference? .

Steve is an avid vinyl collector and has an insatiable passion for music of all genre.

Well after an age that seemed to be pulling everything apart, we are finally putting things back together again. We have started at the top and are working our way down. 8 ensuite bedrooms are now taking shape. Keeping original features where we can and making the most of the internal shape of this fascinating building.
BLUE SKIES & SUNSHINE
What a lovely week in the sunshine. Enjoying a drink and a pizza. Did you know on Fridays and Saturdays we now also do a Smoked Brisket Brioche with pickles and mustard mayo - using Redpoll Beef and Mrs. Darlington's Tewkesbury Mustard.

Thank you so much to all of you that supported us last week as we opened up our outside area. We were blessed with blue skies and look forward to welcoming more of you this week in the sunshine. We've also added to the menu with our Dip & Sip sharing boxes and our smokey brisket brioche available on Fridays and Saturdays.
2500 COOKED PIZZA WINNER
Last week we realized that we were very close to selling our 2500th cooked pizza! This was claimed on Thursday night by Lloyd Owen with his pizza & prosecco deal. Congratulations to Lloyd who gets a pizza with our compliments with his next order.

We now post our @homeDuo kits nationally. Great for birthdays, anniversaries or just to say thank you :)
We post out every Thursday so our kits arrive on the Friday in time for some fun over the weekend.
STUDENTS APPLY LESSONS AT BEAR & RAGGED STAFF
Cookery and construction aren't two trades you typically see together, but for Cheshire College — South & West and The Bear and Ragged Staff they make the perfect pairing. Before the most recent lockdown, construction learners at Cheshire's largest College had been putting into practice new skills they've learnt in the classroom to support the renovation works required at the pub.
CULINARY SCHOOL & FUNCTION ROOM
Work has started on the restoration of the function room and turning part of the first floor into a culinary school.
At the start of the year we had a competition for the best recycled pizza boxes, with some fantastic results. Please keep sending us photos of your upcycled boxes.
BEAR & RAGGED STAFF RESTORATION
After a few months delay we have now started to rebuild the Bear & Ragged Staff. A big shout out to Prigg Electricals, CW Plumbing and Nigel Tucker, all local tradesmen who are working on this and doing a fantastic job.
